Honeysuckle is blooming already! I love the smell!!
This picture was taken at dusk....and it's been really dry here to that's why it still looks like winter on it! The grass just won't turn green!
This is in the front.....i kinda liked how it looked together....just wish i knew how to keep the oak leaves out!I've actually been feeling a little more like a real life these days! I haven't had as much time to paint which is a big pain but i'll just have to get used to it i reckon!
I work one or two days a week at Dickerson's store...they sell lots of things....it's a small country store....the big thing though is their Hot Dogs and Deli sandwiches! i love working the front where we make the hotdogs and run the cash register but the back with the sandwiches is fun too....there are a lot of things to remember and i forget a lot of them but hopefully one of these days i'll remember! ;-)
Today i baked 3 or 4 dozen cinnamon rolls and 4 loaves of bread.....and tomorrow Maurita is having a bunch of friends over here and we are going to make donuts and maybe cookies....oops...i wonder if mom bought bread flour....otherwise we won't be able to make any donuts!
Another thing i'm doing lately is trying to grow some herbs....some of them are coming but my cilantro is dying? weird....i have dill, spearmint, thyme, lavender, chives, basil, oregano, something else but can't remember....anyway i tried about all of them from seed...mom doesn't know if it'll work but i wanna try it....just to see if i can....the plants are expensive! the lavender and chives i did buy were really bad!
i've also been planting tons of flowers! I think i'm related to my grandmas! :-)

With your fresh basil you can make lots of delicous stuff. On top of a chicago style pizza chop your basil and sprinkle it about....just a little. It's so good. Or do a chicken picado recipe and cut some fresh chives on it...it's pretty and good. In rice we like to put a little dill and a little mint along w/ a TBSP of butter and some cajun seasoning. You might need salt too. Serve some grilled fish w/ your rice. Anyhow, can you tell I'm jealous of your herb endeavors? Good Luck! Hope it goes good for you!
