But what to write that somebody else already hasn't! no actaully i stay very busy with the same stuff all the time and although i could say my life is the same old story everyday it's never boring!
My trip to Wisconsin was good. I got to see Lisl! :-) and all the rest of Dad's family...well, not quite all of course cause some of them didn't make it...It just didn't feel right with out Leland's family, Daytons, and Jay's! Since I lived in Idaho for a year i noticed it more i think. Right at the beginning i noticed i just didn't feel quite right! But we had a good time as we were too.
On the way up we stopped in at my good friend, Doris, and her husband Eric's house. It was so cool to see where they live and especially since they have a new baby! :-) Eric took us on buggy rides at his mom's house. She is Old Order Mennonite.
Then on the way home from Wisconsin we ended up going north thru Michigan instead of down thru Chicago, IL. So we ended up stopping in at Eligah Schlabach's for the night. I got to see two more good friends there! Larita and Lavina...It was good to see their stomping grounds too! Then after their place we followed the lake down to the Mackinaw Bridge. THe Lake was beautiful. i took some pictures and it looks very tropical at places the color and lighting and stuff! Anyway after stopping in Ohio to drop Evie off we got home at 5AM Tuesday morning...yawn!
I have been staying very busy other wise too... this past Saturday I was very tired and for some reason felt kinda blah so work at the store was fairly long, but then i was able to come alive enough to have fun milking! Lots of people just shake their heads when i tell them i really do like milking but i really do! I like the exercise especially! ;-) but everything else about it is fairly relaxing too for now anyway! until i have 3 cows in a line who love nothing better then to kick off their milkers and so one kicks her's off so the one in front of her starts kickin and then the one in front of that starts kicking....so then you have 3 milkers on the floor and 3 ferocious cows! lol! actually that's only happened once or twice...and i'm sure it'll get even more exciting when i get the fresh cows and heifers coming in! 2 more weeks for that though... :-) then there was one day that one of the gates was not closed right so and all of a sudden i realized i had cows going OUT of the barn! i quick made a phone call to Mr. Carl and he was soon there and fixed it for me...but somewhere between 4 and 5 cows at least had gotten out before i discovered it i think...i didn't really see how many he brought back in...But that all adds excitement to my day...not that i want things like that to happen though! ;-)
At the store i do many things. Some days I'm at the cash register and others I'm back in the deli. I enjoy the deli some but I love being up front too. Last week a couple days i was a floater, which was fun for a change too. I got a little bit of both worlds. Cause trust me, it's TWO totally different worlds even though it's about 15 feet difference! Back in the deli we cut meats and cheese, make sandwiches, and there's also an Ice Cream machine...Up front it's the cash register (of course) and restocking shelves and making hot dogs. We sell a lot of hot dogs...some days up to over 100! Most days i work at the store I go in around 8:30 and get off at 2:30...Except Wednesdays I don't have to milk so i go in later and get off around 4:30 or 5. The other day though i told somebody it would be fun just to have a WHOLE day off sometime....just to be home and not go anywhere...but i do enjoy what i do so I'm definitely not complaining! I have had days off but I was in Wisconsin or Idaho! not home! and Sundays we go to Church....
Last tuesday mom and i did take the day off and went to Columbia. There was a Joann's up there moving to a new location to they were selling everything...and everything to 75% off. I found a bunch of stuff i could use for my signs (if i ever have time) so that was very nice...it's kinda fun getting $60 worth of stuff for 17! :-) Then we went to walmart and Sam's Club and Ross. I finally got my Full length mirror that i've been planning to get for about a year now....Every other Ross i was at didn't have them. I just hadn't getten to Columbia in forever! We had to be back by 3 so i could go milk but it was a fun day in spite of running out of time!
