check this out it's kinda cool! a beaver dam!

He would kill me! lol!

So this afternoon Gwynndon and I took a walk thru the swamp which happens to be almost like one big huge pond at the moment! There are even spots where there is ice on the top of the water! WHOA.......so you know that means it was cold here! Last week I don't think it ever got much above 40 if that! and this morning at church there was still snow in the valley between two of the churches roofs! Anyway, that's beside to point...The beavers have taken over our river and turned the swamp into a huge marshy lake! They have the river dammed in about 10 different places...so we were practically wading the whole time..in boots of course! ha! Ryan and Johnny have traps out for the beavers and they trapped one yesterday...it was so good to hear water running again though! i know i'm crazy but there is just SOMETHING about the water rushing over...well, usually rocks but in this case it was tree roots and stuff....anyway there's just something about that sound that i can't ever get tired of listening to!
After we were to the river we followed it to the road which really wasn't far off....and crossed under the bridge and went up to the train trestle...and low and behold it looked like a massive lake w/ trees and shrub growing in it on the other side the tracks! wow!
Then Dad texted me and wondered where we were and he came and met us and we walked...well it was more like ummmmmmmmm....beelined....no that's not right either...but we cruised for a mile...on our feet! ha! and back home again! I was wearin Ryan's rubber boots which were 5 sizes too big and walking in them really fast didn't always work too swell! i just about put a face implant on a rail road tie! here are some pictures i've had around...and some i took today!
so this is my favorite sign.....totally a wonderful reminder!!!
