i was listening to an audiobook today of refugees in Guatemala. The main character decided her little sister needed something to do so she made her a ball of scraps of material that she found lying around the camp. But this ball kept fraying. So she asked one the aid workers one day if she could get her a ball...the lady looked at her and said, "this is a refugee camp, NOT a play ground."
Wow that lady was hard! couldn't she SEE the children listlessly living here in the camp? Where was her motherly instincts?
She did get her a ball eventually and this brought the children alive and energetic again...
while i listen i paint...here are the projects from the last 2 days.....i'm actually needing help to decide what i need on that one w/ the golden rule on it. there is this big empty space that looks like it need to be filled...and then i look at it again and decide maybe it doesn't need filled...what do YOU think?
