Well, I've been home for 2 weeks now...I think i'm back into the group of life again...It took a long time this go around...but mainly cause i was gone for 3 weeks...i think! I asked for some pictures for the journal as i'm one of the Journalists and so decided to upload a few to show you a little of what we spend our time doing....:-) the first one is all of the girls that were in my group out in LA...We divide the big group into 3 smaller ones. One day my group was at the Fred Jordan Mission most of the day and they took us to the top floor to look out over the city! Twas interesting! :-)
Another day we did some work at the LA Mission and afterward were rewarded with a tour of downtown 'Skid Row.' At one point we had to walk single file between the Homeless... Another spot we were told that we should walk on the street for if we walked on the side walk we might be in somebody's living room! Apparently they have their portion of the sidewalk territory....One thing that stuck out to me about the whole skid row thing was that they pretty much have ANYTHING they ever needed provided...even housing if they want! There is a nice hospital there....hardly anybody was making use of it! There are a lot of missions who provide church and food along w/ a lot of other stuff... And yet these people chose to remain on the street... It's so hard to understand!
Us girls on top of the Fred Jordan Building...
One day we went to Mexico and this is us singing there...out in the HOT sunshine! :-)no shelters here....
some little girls who sat and listened for a while!
Santa Monica At Night

Downtown buildings- LA...
I had a good time...There were times that weren't so good...but God saw me thru and I'm looking forward to having another chance at it! :-) Hopefully December....if not then for sure June...so there you have it! A real true LA post! :-)
