Yeah, Today is a Monday...and it feels like an unprofitable one....I don't even feel like being here in the office....It's just one of those days....I did get half a sign painted...but i should have gotten the whole thing done. But I did get some Pinterest ideas copied and pasted and organized to print off so i have paper copies and won't have to go online to see them everytime. So that took all morning...Glad it's done tho'.
Thanksgiving was kind of just another day for me...I got up and got to work...Made potatoes for lunch...And then went to Govan to reclaim some old wood. Josh is taking an old feed store down that is starting to fall down on their property...For Lunch we all gathered at Uncle Danny's for a great big Hege gettogether....(and it was only Hege's here in SC plus a few stragglers). One of those stragglers was Kent Weaver, who is a 2nd cousin on dad's side...I think he felt a little misplaced...:-)
~Thursday~
Well, I got side tracked a little on Monday....
Sarah, a friend had her son admitted to the hospital last week for bronchialitis..Wednesday I had gone up to see her and since I needed a few groceries i did some shopping...And I have come to discover that sales sometimes are better on those days then Black Friday! Yes, i did NOT go shopping on Friday...I decided this year I did not want to wade thru the ppl...I always end up spending WAY too much money too....so...i stayed home...and made money instead....*that's not all it's cracked up to be either!* :-)
Saturday night Sarah asked me if I could come spend the night with her in Columbia at the Children's Hospital...Colton had been transferred on Thursday...Her hubby had to come home and milk Sunday as his brother who'd been doing the chores was a sick puppy....So I did...it was an interesting experience....but we had an enjoyable time discussing house styles! haha! We kinda have different styles we like...but her's is pretty too...
We have been having spring summer weather....not really winter...although the other month it was cold...cold...colder then a normal November....seemed to me anyway....so the warmer days are welcomed some what...at least i don't have to cover pipes and keep a heater in my well house. The leaves all came off fast this year...last year i didn't rake my yard...(the wind blew them away one night) but that's one job staring me in the face....makes me wish for daylight in the evening...
Oh and fall was beautiful this year....i just noticed tuesday some maple trees that were still BEAUTIFUL!! So Grandpa......some years the hardwoods can be pretty....some of the oaks actually were red....they often just turn straight to brown....
Fall is Time for pies.....I made a Sweet Potato Pie and
my family said it was almost better then Pumpkin....
