Working on Priorities and Flexiblities

Flexibility....
Is what is needed when a friend calls and asks you to travel several hours with her to meet her sister to transfer her niece
Is what happens when you suddenly decided Wednesday afternoon that a trip to the city will be happening the next day instead of work....(i needed to go shopping anyway) :-)
It's also what i need when another friend calls as she's walking out the door if you would like to go to another city a week later to spend time with another friend who is spending her days at the hospital because her son is there....
I had a long list of thing for the day yesterday....but i thankfully was able to completely forget about all of that and just have a fun day! :-) thanks Sarah and Kendra for keeping me flexible....otherwise i would become selfish in my own activities....I want to be available when needed...Kendra stayed at the hospital while I took Sarah (the mama of the sick one) around Columbia yesterday and DIDN"T EVEN WATCH THE CLOCK!!! :-) I enjoyed that!

Maurita is at my house today baking....Mom is getting new countertop so their oven is out of commission. So maybe my kitchen floor will be cleaned! :-) I just was picking on her and suggested it and she acted like she was going to take me up on it once she got her stuff done! She's kinda naughty that way....I got her to get my wash off the line last saturday as after i got to the barn i discovered that it was raining....And when i came home i discovered it all folded!

Priorities....
The last several years my priorities have been centered around signs....this year so far i have been doing other things! :-) I sewed several dresses....today i printed and cut out labels for spices, etc....and this morning i recovered 2 chair seats for a lady...2 weeks ago i sewed curtains for somebody....so i guess you could say my priorities have shifted...i did paint last week....a few....

But there a things in my house that need working on....so my priorities are to keep busy but not to become overwhelmed and to be available when the need arises....

How do you keep your priorities in line and what do you do to keep flexible...besides having children?! :) that's not an option here....

I find that I need both in large doses! Especially flexibility - there is just so much stuff that wants my time and energy. But you know what? I think everyone needs to have something in their life that all but consumes their time and energy, because it helps to keep life fulfilling and fresh. Someday maybe it will be a family for me, but for now it's work and school and a million other things.

Some times i wonder....why do i even blog? do ppl even read it? but then i wonder am i selfishly wanting ppl to notice? do they have to comment? I rarely comment on other's posts...so why should they comment on mine? Hello to all....

I'm sitting in northern Wisconsin at my aunt's house figuring out how to use this! wow! i shoulda just started pushing buttons before....that's what she had me do! pushing buttons is what i do best when it comes to computers! ;-) cause that's what your do right?! This wireless internet is really nice...i'm going to have to get use to my slow phone at home again in about a week...I am supposed to fly home next monday....if the weather isn't bad...the weather has been lovely! I have been enjoying the crispness of the northern air! I will have to learn to endure the muggy wet of the south...i did it last year to i'll survive again! School teaching is something I love! i forgot how much i loved it until about 3 weeks ago when i began teaching again as a substitute teacher here at Northwoods...It was a little strange at first being in a new school and stuff but i soon got used to it and am loving it! now to get enough sleep to be able to function properly! :-) I ...

i Think it's time...

To go on a trip! I was thinking that i needed to get out my suitcase to pack to go on the camping trip and all of a sudden realized how odd it felt to be getting it out....and thinking back to camping trips before how it didn't feel so odd to get packed up....well, i suppose that means i've been working too much and not going places anymore! ha ha! This summer i may get a few excursions in here and there...but not sure yet if i will or not.....i am going to LA for 10 days, but there are a few other places to go too..... i mean i need to put my suitcases to use right?! :-) it's definitely time! ha ha! in other news...this weekend is the end of school....graduation....etc! I have to milk this evening because one of the sons of the guy I milk for is graduating....and the mama usually milks and she wondered if i would for her...i get the next 3 days off...so i'm milking tonight... I have 2 more weeks at the store...and 3 weeks till i go to LA... In the mean time there is GA...
